>> LEARN: Copying Music from a CD to a FLASH Drive

Flash Drives offer a host of benefits for ANY music lover*:

A Flash drive can be used on MULTIPLE devices ( i.e your vehicle, PC, Laptop or smartphone)

NOTE: 1 GB on a Flash drive = 100+ songs

*You can store music or other digital files AS WELL

WINDOWS + PC - STEP ONE

Insert the CD that you want to copy into the CD or DVD-ROM drive of your PC or Laptop. A pop up message* will appear. Select “View Files” or “Explore Files” ( this will allow you to view the songs on the CD from your computer )

* The message may vary depending on your Microsoft Windows version

 

WINDOWS + PC - STEP TWO

Hold the “CTRL” button and press the“A" button. This will “select” (or highlight) ALL the songs/music files on the CD and then Hold the “CTRL” button and press the“C" button to copy everything

NOTE: The buttons are “shortcut” keys which allow you do things without the mouse. You can always select all the files “using the mouse” if you are familiar with that process


WINDOWS + PC - STEP THREE

Insert the USB Flash drive into an available USB slot and then read/note the message* that appears on the corner of the screen.

*NOTE: Depending on your Microsoft Windows version, the message may vary

WINDOWS + PC - STEP FOUR

Select "Open folder to view files" and then hold the"Ctrl” button and press the “V" button to copy the contents of the CD to the USB drive. Wait until the progress indicator reaches 100 percent to signify that all files have been copied before removing the USB drive. The duration of the process depends on the total size of the files transferred.

Mac Operating Systems

STEP 1 - iOS

Insert a USB drive into a USB port on the computer and a USB drive icon will appear on the desktop.

STEP 2 - iOS

Click on the USB drive icon to open the USB drive folder.

STEP 3 - iOS

Create a new folder in the USB drive folder, if you wish.

STEP 4 - iOS

Open iTunes. Now the USB drive folder and the iTunes screen are open at the same time.

STEP 5 - iOS

Insert a CD into the disc drive and the songs will appear as a list in iTunes.

STEP 6 - iOS

Click on "Edit" on the toolbar at the top of the screen and click on "Select All" from the drop-list to highlight the entire song list.

STEP 7 - iOS

Drag the song list to the USB drive folder and allow the songs to copy.

Once the copying is complete, the songs will be on the USB drive.

THATS IT. NOW YOU GOT A WHOLE CD ON YOUR FLASH DRIVE……#SIMPLE
